Price Real Estate provides a lockout service to our tenants to avoid calling a locksmith.
Please note that there is a $45.00 lock out fee that applies to any calls during office hours, and a $75.00 lock out fee that applies to any calls after office hours and on weekends and holidays.
*PLEASE NOTE THAT THE LOCKOUT FEE MUST BE PAID IN ADVANCE TO ENTRY.
Also please note that you are responsible, per your lease, for broken windows, doors, and screens. Please note that the lock-out fee is much cheaper than replacing those items listed above.
Before you pick up keys, check and see...do you have everything?
Before you move in, there are a few things that need to be provided before we can give you your keys. Per your lease, we will NOT give you your keys until all information has been provided. Please refer to your lease if you have any questions.

Can My parents check in for me?
No. Because there is so much important information we have our residents sign for at check-in, only persons whose names are on the lease as residents will be allowed to check-in.
What do I need To Check In?
The following is the required information:
- Rent is due on the first and is late after the fifth. The entire rent payment must be paid before we can hand out keys. Rents not received by the fifth will receive a late fee of 10% (i.e. $1000.00 rent = $100.00 late fee).
- Proof of transfer of utilities (i.e. Water and Sewer, Electricity, and Gas.) Each company has a different way of providing proof. Please refer to our utility hook-up guide on how to provide us with the proper proof of your utilities.
- Proof of renter's insurance. (You can find information and requirements regarding renter's insurance here.)
- Guarantor forms (if needed).
Do I Need a Check In Appointment?
Please call 1-2 weeks in advance to schedule an appointment to pick up your move-in packet and your keys. Your Move-In date is your Lease Begin Date. Appointments can be scheduled Monday-Friday from 10:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. or on Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 2:00p.m.
Do All my roommates need to be present for our check-in?
While we encourage everyone to be present so they can hear important information, we only need 1 person present. That individual will sign in lieu of the entire apartment.
Rent payments can be made via check, cashier's check, or money order. Some properties also have the available option of an e-check (please check with our office to see if you are eligible to use this method.)
Cash is NOT accepted for rent payments.
Your unit address and apartment number MUST be clearly written on all payments or there will be a $5 charge per check.
Rent is due on the first of each month, and is considered late after 5:00 pm on the 5th of each month. Please note: if you mail your rent payment, we do NOT go by the postmark date. Your check must arrive at our office by the fifth to avoid a late penalty.

Late Fee Waiver

When is rent due?
Rent is always due on the first of each month. Price Real Estate offers our residents a 5 day grace period, meaning rent will not be penalized for being late until 5:00pm on the fifth (5th) of each month.
Disclaimer: When using the US Postal Service to deliver your rent checks, please remember that we do not go by the postmark. Price Real Estate must receive the mailed check by the 5th in order to avoid late penalties.
How can I pay my rent?
We accept the following methods of rent payment:

We DO NOT accept cash, debit or credit.
Can my late fee be waived?
If your rent payment was not received on time, your account has been charged a 10% (of the total rent, not just your portion or the amount unpaid) (ex. $1,000 rent = $100 late fee regardless of amount unpaid).

Disclaimer: Only one (1) late fee may be waived per lease period. Each resident must sign off acknowledging that they approve use of the waiver and they understand that another cannot and will not be waived. If there are problems processing your late fee waiver request, our rental accounts manager will be in touch with you.
Are You Ready to Move Out?
We have enjoyed having you as a resident! But before you leave, you will need some very important information regarding check-out procedures. Please remember that your Security Deposit cannot be refunded to you unless you have provided us with a Forwarding Address. Please either call our office, or use the online form below to provide us with a forwarding address.

DO I need an Appointment to Check Out?
You will need to call to schedule a time to checkout at least two weeks before your lease ends. Please remember that you must checkout by 3:00p.m. on, or before the day your lease ends. Appointments can be scheduled Monday through Friday from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Please call to confirm your check-out appointment one day prior to your appointment.
Do I need to Be Present for my Check Out?
We strongly recommend that at least one resident be present at the time of checkout. Should there be any questions regarding the check-out they can be discussed at that time and avoid any future discrepancies regarding cleaning/damage charges. Please finish all moving and cleaning prior to the check-out, once the check-out is finished, you will not be allowed to re-enter the apartment for any reason.
When Will I Get My Security Deposit Back?
If Security Deposits are being mailed to just one address, they will be placed in the mail 45 days after the last date of your lease. If they are being mailed to more than one address, it will be 60 days.
If you have more than one person in your apartment, but you would like the deposit sent to only one address, please contact our office for specific instructions.
What Should I Do With My Keys?
All keys (including mail keys) must be returned during your checkout appointment. You may only turn in keys to the office if you are unable to be present for your check-out, and you wish for us to perform the check-out without a scheduled appointment. Key sets not returned in FULL are subject to charges. DO NOT MAIL KEYS in a regular envelope; use cushioned/cardboard ONLY to ensure delivery. You will still be held accountable for potential charges if mailed keys do not arrive in the office.
Do I need to Have My Carpets Cleaned?
We will have your carpets steam cleaned and the cost will be deducted out of the security deposit. Do not have your carpets cleaned yourself, Price Real Estate will have them cleaned. No Exceptions.
Can I leave FURNITURE Behind?
All furniture/belongings MUST be removed and disposed of properly BEFORE the check-out. Please do not dispose of furniture at dumpsters. Please make arrangements with Goodwill, or a suitable charity.
